blown coolant seal? (videos)

so from all that I've read it seems that my friends car does have a blown coolant seal but just to make sure here's what I see every time we start up his car.

<embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://img.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v503/bboy_clo/CIMG1932.flv">

after it's fully warmed up there's no smoke at all but there's this!!!

<embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://img.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v503/bboy_clo/CIMG1934.flv">

that's coming from the passenger side of the engine bay....does anyone know where all that coolant may be coming from??

The oil, spark plugs and wires, thermostat, new koyo radiator was just put in on monday.

it looks like it might be leaking from the manifold. There is an oring that seals the coolant in the rotor housing. Does the smoke increase with revs? if it goes away once warmed up then it probably isn't coolant seals. Do some searching on oil seals. What does the smoke smell like? Does it burn your eyes or is it sweet smelling?

Have you even popped the hood?? A leak like that shouldn't be hard to find!!

get a cooling system pressure tester. pump it up and see where its leaking... if its leaking into the rotor housing it will be much harder to start because of all the coolant in the chamber.

check the hoses to the overflow tank as well
my guess is, that it's the start of a coolant seal going
mine did that for well over a year until the overheating started
and even after that the engine ran fine....sorta - it would however blow coolant out through the overflow tank continuously at that point though

**UPDATE** I found the leak its coming from one of the radiator hoses, as fas as the smoke goes I wouldnt necessarily say that it smells sweet neither does it burn my eyes. Also the smoke doesnt increase when revving. But when I start the car with the radiator cap off the coolant just gushes out non stop. Also the overflow tank is getting filled up and it seems like its boiling????

a good sign of blown coolant seals is an always overfilling overflow tank.

but this could be because of a few reasons-

1. blown seals
2. need new RAD cap
3. pin hole leak somewhere in the cooling system

make sure your T-stat is in working order and make sure your RAD caps are sealing and working well. than most of all no leaks in the hoses.

if your still having problems after all that than it could be a seal
