which is better single or duel VR
guys i figure i post this cause i cant really find the answer to this . i was considering going duel VR setup . but wanted to know would the car be more prone to noise? in this matter???
or was it just cause the car was modded to missing tooth cas the car was more noise prone? the g and ne+ wires are both shielded and still not able to get the pots dialed in .
i honestly would fell more comforable with modding the MS to duel VR IF it would make it easyer for the MS to pick up the signals from the cas. and buy another CAS with it not being cut.
PS why isnt there a FAQ write up on a duel VR build on here ? can we maybe make one
=D
thanks in advanced guys.

The FAQ has a circuit diagram for dual VR. You just have to follow it.
The code for Dual VR is much simpler... it just looks for a signal on the 2nd trigger input, and then resets the count for the main Ne input.
With a missing tooth, the code constantly has to look for how much time is between each tooth. It calls a missing tooth any tooth gap that is > 1.5x the tooth gap before it. This will cause problems because when there's noise, the code will basically see missing teeth all over the place.
BTW, the best place to adjust your potentiometers to is both full counter clockwise. Then don't mess with the zero-crossing pot, just adjust the hysteresis pot higher until you no longer get a signal at crank. Then adjust it back down a bit and you should be set.

wanted to add this to this .

can anyone tell me if i can use this daughterboard for the same purpose?
here is the link.
