megasquirt and me.

ok, on glens garage, there are several assembled MS boards. are these turn-key (so to speak)? i know there is still the install, but would i still have to match components? i just don't want to assemble a board if i don't have to. i am looking at the MS II v3.0 ecu.

i want to delete the stock AFM, use a 2.5 bar MAP sensor, use the IAT offered on the site, bosch injectors, stock coils, and the MS relay board. this is all for an 87 t II btw.

would the microsquirt be just as good for me since i don't want to build a board?

Unless the turn key units also offer a 2nd VR circuit, you will at least need to add that to your board. And the pullup resistors for the ignition.

so that is where error*'s daughterboard comes into play (for v. 3)? i think i finally got it. sorry, i am like a monkey disarming a bomb when it comes to circuitry. the FAQ post was too much info at once. i just had to process it all.

yea, you need a bit of time to let it all sink in... and then need to confirm what sort of sensors/actuation all the stock equipment gives/expects to recieve. I built the 2nd VR circuit in the proto area on the V3 board, along with the extra resistors and whatnot to signal the stock coils. If you want the board/think you need it for convenience, then get it, but the stock setup on FC's is pretty straightforward and can easily be fit inside of the MS casing.

Even preassembled, there is almost no such thing as a turnkey megasquirt. You will almost always have to do minor mods to control ignition no matter what the car is unless it is a distributor or EDIS setup.
