alignment questions

First and foremost I'm creating this thread because I'm looking for suggestions and input on a proper alignment. Secondly, I'm looking for input on which settings would best suit my driving characteristics.

99.5% of my driving will be on the street. I do have some "spirited" times where I like to push a lil bit more than is probably socially acceptable to most people. This does not include "drifting", lol, just pushing a lil farther than the majority of the other people on the road. I think we all pretty much know what I mean. So keep in mind that the vast majority of my time is on the street, not racetrack. Although, I do plan on attending a few autoX events when possible, but this is not a main focus at the moment.

Car setup includes:
Ksport coilovers with separate height adjustability from spring preload
Suspension Technique sway bars with adjustable endlinks
Fighters Garage rear camber link
the Ksport coilovers have adjustable camber plates in the front
CP Racing front and rear strut tower bars (not installed yet as the front bar hits the stock fan...wtf?)
wheel setup is the 5zigne FN01RC in a 17x8 (225/45) and 17x10 (245/40)

Anyway, I'm looking for possible alignment specs that will benefit my car and driving style. I'm looking for more of a neutral setup than a setup geared towards understeer. I have "almost" zero interest in wanting to drift.

Should I just stick with factory settings and make adjustments from there?
Are there any recommended settings on the FC with such a setup?
Should I have tried to do a more extensive search, lol?

Very interested in input on the subject.

i dont have track experiance, but i drive too fast in corners, and autocross a lot.
i would say run 0 toe all around, 1 degree camber in back, and 1.5 in front.
thats what i roll, with staggered tires, and i liek the balance. rotates with throttle, but doesnt noticably understeer or oversteer.

everything is a comprimise-
0 toe, or any toe out will make the car track on uneven pavement. if you have power steering you proly wont even notice, but with a manual rack, i have to hold on to the wheel on chewed up highways. toe in = stability, but you sacrfice turn in and overall cornering ability. since you like it sporty, just got with 0.
the more camber the better in front (for cornering), but more camber = less braking ability. so you have to find that balance as well. 1.5 is just fine i think.
in the rear you really dont need much camber at all. you'll pretty much wanna max out your adjuster trying to get rid of it. the susp geometry adds crazy camber as it compresses.

Only testing can tell you what alignment is right for you. An aggressive alignment will give more grip, but less tire life.

I'd say something like 2.5* front camber, zero toe, 1.5* rear camber 1/8" toe in as a starting point.

I think 2.5* will be overkill for 99% street driving when you factor in the extra tire wear, it really depends on the type of roads you drive on. I say 0 toe, leave caster to factory settings and 1.5*F and 1* rear camber. Set the rear shocks stiffer than the front, same with the sway bars to compensate for the stagger, test drive and adjust as necessary.

Go to Pettit Racing website then go to General information. Gives you what you need, I hope. I have mine set up to Street set up and it handles better but I am all stock. I don't want to wear my Goodyear Eagles out too fast.

I guess its all gonna depend on fitment issues with the wheels as well. I've got my front balljoints replaced and now waiting on coils to showup so I can get the car where it needs to be and then take it in for alignment. Also having new outer tie rods installed while having alignment done. Frontend should be in pretty good shape after all is said and done.

will report back with results. Unfortunately, looks like Im waiting another week or so for coils to show up.

2.5 degrees may be overkill, but it's about what I've been running and I've not noticed any adverse effects on tire life yet, so why not?
