I read that you can use the universal updates for the beige box.

Has anybody done this?
How did you do it? Please give a detail instructions.

Will i be ok using the old (last version) made for the beige box ?

What kind of stuff am i'm missing by not having all these updates, that the unversal box has?

 

the universal software logs faster and has a slightly better interface i think. although there are a couple features with the FD3s software that are nice. the compare feature for instance works better. for most other things i prefer the universal.

Just download the latest universal software and it has a selection for which box you use, select the beige box and you're good to go.

 

I have a beige box. I use the FD3S software for editing my maps and updating them. The UNIV box will cause the Settings 4 Boost vs IGN S.F. to show blank.

I use the UNIV software only for logging as it is faster.
