Neither. It belonged to a friend of ours. He comes to the Taco7 meets sometimes. That car has since been sold, but one of these days we really ought to get some footage of the 510 that that motor went into.
Yeah, yeah.
I took those a while ago with an old circa-2001 digital still cam. Future vids will be of much higher quality.

You have Flash 9, right? If anything I'm the one who should be having issues viewing them, since I'm using Adobe's craptastic Linux plugin with a wrapper so I can use it in 64-bit Firefox.
I prefer Putfile for various reasons, but I might still upload them to Youtube since that seems to be the flavor of the day.

We got rid of the air filter. Is this one any better? The owner found it at a local speed shop. It was the only thing that would fit under the hood (and even then it was still rubbing a little).

That orange car's engine went into this 510.

I'll bet the -10 pulley really heats it up too. My buddy ran the -10 on his and it pulled hard past 8000, so please do a run with "no filter" and then pull the "chrome air plenum" off and do a run as well please. Just for comparison sake. Thanks!!

He actually had to run it with no filter or carb hat for about a week after he started driving it because the edlebrock triangle shaped thing (that you hate so much) did not fit in the 510. I can recall it was quite powerful but he said it fell on its face after 6000. He has yet to get some guages such as narrowband A/F, boost, water temp, oil temp and oil pressure. I'll recommend doing some runs with and without the filter and carb hat in that order.
Thanks Jeff, and tell him to get a wideband, even a cheap one. It's a fabulous tuning tool!
