i'm not sure, but i saw "Han" in the cast, and i think he's the one that died in Tokyo Drift, so i assume it's before that.

This movie looks like crap. Its almost like they're going back to the Altezza tail and Demon body kit style of tuning from the first one. Underglow everywhere you look, horrible choice of car colors,
