Cheap rebuild kits?

Whats happenin guys?

A real good buddy of mine is living over in japan at the moment, not exactly sure where..... on the main island, up north in the country somewhere....I think he said three hours from tokyo, but, he will be returning back to the states in a couple of months, just in time to start rebuilding my FC! So, as you can probably guess I'm wondering where he can get his hands on a rebuild kit for a s5 turbo for cheap? I figure rebuild kits would be cheaper on that side of the pond than over here..... correct me if I'm worng!

So, anyone care to give me a hand?
Thanks guys!

Im sure they are cheaper, ive seen workshops advertising around 3000dollars for a rebuild, which is alot cheaper than paying 6 or 7 back home. All the major rx7 companies produce rebuild kits. I will get my rx7 magazine out and have a look later.

the Japanese kits are not as cheap as say atkins or some othe US kits. Most Japaense tuners use mazda rebuild kits mixed with the apex seal of their preferance which is often a Mazda 3 piece if it can be found or a mazda 2 piece. Some guys are making there own seals but I have not heard much info on them and they are all pretty pricee. I suggest getting your kit in the states. Especially since the dollar is so weak at the moment and you wont be getting a good conversion rate when buying something in yen.
Best thing you can do to save time and money is have your motor removed, taken apart and all parts thoroughly cleaned before your friend comes back to rebuild it for you.
