DFW Rx7 Club Track Day

I had a few people mention to me last night that they wanted to have a track day. of course to do this we need to have enough intrest, 20 drivers at least (does not have to be all Rx7s, ask your friends) this will be an all day event, no experience needed, all you need is a helmet.
I am gona talk to all 3 of the local DFW tracks, see where we get the best deal. and if there is enough intrest we can probably do this as soon as mid feb.

so just post up in this thread if you are interested, or know someone who is interested.

I'm probably in if not racing that weekend and not the 1.3 at MSRC.

HPDE w/ Apex at MSRC are $200 so got to keep it below that. EC and TMS would be much better but doubtful on getting dates for either, especially TMS.

in the past I have done track days at TMS with the corvette club and ferrari club, through texas driving experience, I think the group pricing was around $175 but we had around 20 drivers.

Ive been told that if you can't afford to total your car on the track you probably shouldn't be tracking it

you never know what might happen

the cars will be spaced out, no one is going to be driving near you, and if you loose control there is nothing to hit. I have done many track days with street cars and have never seen anyone wreck their car.
there is usually people at every corner, and if someone is doing something risky they will be black flagged, and told what they are doing wrong.

I'll catch Brandon up and give him a love tap on the rear quarter of his car on the inside of a corner, mid-corner.

Then i'd be all like "what are you flagging me for? He didn't give me space to overtake when I had corner priority! Brandon is a cat anyway. See, he likes playing in the kitty litter"
