question: camber

Is there any way to get negative camber in the front of my 1986 rx7 besides getting coilovers? I have been looking for a while and can only find camber adjusters for the rear and not the front? Are there camber adjusters for the front or am i just missing something that is really simple?
Thanks

check with a parts supplier...kragen.. autozone... onestop or if you can, get with some suspension specialist... and camber bolts can only adjust so much...

Camber bolts plus maximum strut adjustment gives you a whopping -0.3 degrees of camber in the front......ask me how I know.

My rear is at -0.5 degrees. Kinda funny when your rear tires have more camber than your front tires.

You probably can maybe get -1...maybe even -1.5 degrees of camber up front doing all that ****.
If you need more, you really need camber plates or *gasp* slot the shock tower holes.

naw Ted.....I maxed out my ingalls bolts and spun my strut mounts......while it looked more negative, the end result was only -0.3 in the front. I was going to get a lower set of cam bolts, but I don't think the lower strut bolt can affect camber.

I think something is wrong with your car...
Spinning the upper strut tops should give you half a degree - I think it explicitly states this in the FSM.
I've done with with my car where I've used all the "slop" in the stock bolts to gain another half a degree.
In the end, I got slightly over -1.0 degrees of camber up front.

Then I stuffed the Cusco camber plates...

I have my strut mounts pointed to the inside front position (the dot). I also maxed the camber bolt as far as I could. It was verified on the alignment rack at -0.3.

by "inside front" do you mean green dot towards the engine?

those camber bolts arent a very good idea IMO. all the sides loads will push on the lobe, and can rotate the bolt. that could change your alignment, or possibly even loosen the bolt, letting your wheel flop around. this is another ask me how i know :-S
I dont trust the things. but if you do use em, tighten the **** out of them, and check them periodically.

camber pi

I'm sure this site has its share of "experts" that have been adjusting camber for eons. This pic is not for those guys. This pic is for the guy that Just got his FC, is broke and just got the crap scared out of him when he almost ate a gaurd rail cause of the massive understeer. It forces the hub bolt mounts all the way back. i also took the advice of "spinnining" the strut mount. As a result last nights run included 3 successfull drifts and no gaurdrails. Thanks all. will have vid of a solo run soon. google map "sandia crest rd nm". thank you all

My camber bolts have lock tabs that rotate with the bolt, so I had my control arms slightly slotted and sat the lock tab in there. My camber bolts haven't moved since all autox/track season.
