SSR SP1's or Work Meisters

Hi guys,
Wanted to get your opinion. Trying to decide between the work meisters and the SSR SP1's. Im leaning towards the SSR just becuase Ive kind of grown up with them over the years and have had their wheels on my cars, so its kind of a nostalgic love with the brand. Whad do you think?

works.

I own the ssr sp1's and in a nice big fat lip sexy size... BUT the works are just that much more pimp and rare and nice and strong etc etc etc. especially now that rota or whoever has copied the sp1.

I prefer the works with the bolts showing all the way around the barrel but either style work is amazing in person.

Wow the SP1's look amazing. I wish that I was in AU, I would scoop those up in a second. I think the US dollar is stronger then AU right?

Work Meister S1 3 piece would be a better and stronger wheel.

More Fasteners, and just known to be a better wheel from a construction standpoint.

faaaaaaawk D-CUPS comes back in for SSR with a winning pic, MORE MORE MORE!!!!!

lol. seriously, damn, the black lugnuts makes a nice look.

rota copies of ssr sp1 are WEAK and blow monkey nuts, it sucks they had to go and copy such a beautiful, timeless wheel design and make a shitty copy too with lame spoke curve and weak weak lip design, wtf.

No they wont. Rota does not make wheels larger than 16x7 or 15x8 and there is an Speed Star Racing logo on em as well. Besides, why do you care? You can just ignore the honda boys, or... :omfg: be nice to em and tell them that's not what these wheels are.

yeah last I saw / heard, the ssr sp1 copies from rota are coming out in 18x7 or some other weak sauce setup and I thought they already had 17" copies out.

they do suck.

real SSRs are so much better in person, WOWIE WOW.

The Rota's are killing it! If you take a look at them in person you will see that the faces shape and curvature is like the Meisters and the rivets are from the SSR SP1. So I think its kind of a hybrid of both wheels.

I think that Im going to go with SSR just because Ive had so many of their wheels in the past and theyve never let me down!

Actually, they have them in 18 X 8 (48mm offset) and 18 X 9 (50mm offset). You can purchase them for around ~$800 shipped:

Rota's - the lip is alot more sharp flat looking. The Spokes are alot more curved out at the end towards the dish looking like the Work Meisters.

SSR's - the lip is rounder and curved looking. The Spokes are more flatter. SSR's have SSR valve caps, and has the wheel weights, 'speedstar racing' tanabe embossed behind the spokes. Always comes with the SSR sticker logo on the spokes. Are lightweight 3 piece wheels. Also come in many offsets and wheel widths. The original and Japanese of course.

SSR FTW!
