Anybody worked with holset turbos??

I just picked up a Holset H2E. It has a pretty large hotside. Actually it is probably to big for what I want. I know some holset turbos had interchangable turbine housings. The turbine wheel is damn close to being the same size as the Greddy T-88. I would like to know what turbine housings are interchangable with the H2E. The actual measurments on the turbine are Minor: 2.820" and Major: 3.360"

I don't know anyone with this Holset turbo, but I know a guy personally that has an Holset HX50. It is big and has the potential to make really good power. There is a forum member on here that had the same turbo as well(HX50)that made good power. Good luck, it looks to be a pretty good size.

It is basically the same turbo as the hx50. I believe the hx50 took over for the h2 series. Do you happen to have pictures of the hx50 particularly turbine section.

I don't have a pic of the wheel. But I have a pic of the turbo without the compressor cover on and you can see the exhaust housing. I think it is a 1.22 A/R housing or something very close to that.

You may have to wait a couple days. The pictures of Phil's turbo are on my GF's computer. I'll try to get her to send it to me, but she will not know what to look for. Hang in there.

I am using the H1E, don't have HP numbers, but it does make 5psi at 2200 rpm and 8psi @ 2600rpm on a stock port S4.

I am either going to have to get a different turbine housing or another exhaust manifold. Something that raises the turbo above the frame rail toward the front of the engine bay.

you will need to buy a manifold or get one made...is it a T4 flange? it looks like it is so in that case just buy the cheaper HKS cast manifold or if u got the money get a stainless steel manifold

This is why I could use a different exhaust mani of turbine housing. If you see, the turbine housing flange sits quite lower than the housing itself. It is not tangent to the turbine housing like mainy typical housings would.
