The show is Saturday June 9th @ Don Jacobs. It runs during the night from 6pm-10pm. I have gone to this one the last two years, it has had good turnout.

I plan on attending however, in past years I have not only been the lone Rx-7, I have been the only Mazda. I hope we can get a good turnout of Rx-7's this year - yall really dont want me representing Rx-7's all by myself! I hope to see all you guys there!

I would love to go Adam but i don't think my car is really "show" ready, got some paint issues and what not. If you think I would be ok let me know and I would love to go with you.

 

haha I bet my multi-colored paint "issue" and just generally not having my car ready at all, is worse than yours...

I'd still be interested in walking around and finally meeting some other rx7 guys

 

Lol, you think you have paint issues - you got to see my front bumper, it's tore up! (see above pic) By no means do I have a show car, I drive it hard every chance i get and it has the scars to prove it.

You would be more than qualified to put your FD in the show, your Rx-7 is cleaner than mine. Besides, it's at night, no one can see paint blemishes anyway. Cant wait to see ya there!

 

I think I might come down. Do we need to register? Is this open to out of staters? I'll be coming from Chicago.........

You dont have to register ahead of time and its open to anyone with a car. You do however need to fill out a sheet with name, make and model so they know what they are judging and who to call out for the trophy. Its like any other show, you fill out the sheet when you get there and I think its like $10-15 to enter.

The only people that need to preregister, if i can remember correctly, are large teams/car clubs.

they do have a DJ and raffel off good prizes, at leist they did last year - so your $10-15 dosent go to complete waste. I won a huge Mother's Wax detaling kit.

 

I will try to make it. My car is no show car either, but it looks okay if the lighting is right(nighttime )

 

that car show sounds great too bad im in indianapolis i have great looking 89conv....my son has 88ae thats sharp as hell it has 38k original miles and in perfect cond.....if u were closer larry

Hey Adam do you have any contact information for someone organizing the show or can you find out if things have changed and we need to preregister or not. Thanks. I plan on definitely going as long as it doesn't rain. So hope to see you there. BTW would they put all of us Mazdas together; how early to arrive also?

 

^^^The car club that is putting it on is Sicon Syndicate. Sorry, I dont have any informaion on them. I believe that Team Rush (www.teamrushcc.com) might be co-sponcering it, they have in past years. You wont have to preregister for the show, they have a huge lot that will be cleared so limited space is not a prolbem.

They start letting in cars to the show at 6pm. From 6:00 - 7:00 is time to get your car preped before judging. I will probibly get there around 6:30-7, I can only wipe down the car for so long before getting board.

In past years they have not grouped cars my make, though i wish they did, they just put cars next to eachother by the order in which they arrived. You can always ask the person directing cars to leave a space or two next to you, saying there will be some more PIMP Rx-7s coming - I doubt they will mind. If I get there first, I will be sure to do this!

It would be nice if we could get all the Rx-7s in a row. If we are not, people never seem to mind switcing spots so others can be next to friends.

The weather is looking great for Saturday night, I cant wait!

That sounds like a good plan Adam, I will probably arrive early i have this bad habit of arriving early to things. So if i get there before you I'll save spots if not vice versa. I think i will PM you my cell number that way we can know if each other is there and just tell the people who are directing cars we have spots saved?

 

I'd show up but....I don't think my TII is worthy to be seen on the road.....

What you mean so much for the Friday night, I am still going Friday this show is Saturday. Did something happen to your car, as far as i know we are still doing the Fridays, unless i stand corrected.

 

Yeah, I thought the Fridays at Kopps was a weekly event through out the summer?

For sure! I'm not going to mis this one, it's going to be a perfect night for a car show 75 and clear skys.....and I'm finally not going to be the only Rx-7 at the show!
