No fuel gauge

I just upgraded my fuel pump, now fuel gauge does not work.
RP denso pump for the FD
Is there a procedure that I missed?
Any suggestions appreciated.

pull the assembly back out and check your wiring
when removing the old pump there is a l;ittle box where the float athaches to a wire may have come loose or broken.
