Sure it could. How long it takes depends on how many times you have to stop and let the car cool/refill radiator.

Should be fun!

Not that I'm advocating it, but if the coolant is low enough, you don't have to let it cool off before you open the fill cap.

If you catch it early, the copper type radiator sealer will sometimes work.
My former 91NA ran for almost a year on that stuff.

You do realize you'll have to rebuild the engine when you put the seal in, don't you? The cost of the coolant seals are negligible in comparison.

I've heard $1500-$3000+ for a rebuild, the lower end being if you just have to replace seals, etc. But someone else can tell you more.

Yes I know that but I've been looking at rebuild gasket kits and stuff and I don't see that they include coolant seals, is there another name for it or something? And I can get one of these kits for like $300, its an NA dude the parts are dirt cheap its only on the turbo models that the prices are astronomical.

Actuly... prices are about the same turbo, or NA. APEX seals include coolant seal.

It depends how bad the seal is. Ive had a bad coolant seal and bad oil seal for over a year now.. they're just really really minor. If the car is smoking REALLY bad after its warmed up. your gunna have to stop and fill up every so often to fill it up.

www.atkinsrotary.com ,also try www.rotaryaviaton.com for An N/A rebuild kit..or you can Hunt on Ebay..actually Dan Atkins from Atkin's Rotary Does sell kits on EBay....if you have to make the trip,Here is a Wacky Suggestion.Get a Nice LONG piece of HosePut a Big *** Jug of water on the Front passenger Floor..Take the hose and Run it From the Rad's overflow Outlet to the Big Jug..As long as that Hose is in the Jug of water(submerged.don't let it suck air) it should keep on taking Water out of the Jug and Sucking it into the Radiator.(theoretically,it should work!)

Actually, the problem with bad coolant seals is that it allows exhaust gas into the coolant system. This over-pressurizes the coolant and it expells out the overflow tank. What we have found, is that extremely bad coolants seals are more often the seal retaining wall failure. Where the iron has crumbled away allowing the seal to pop into the coolant system.

You can buy individual seals, however when you disassemble the engine the others will be destroyed also.
