RPNW.ORG Tech Session at Pineapple Racing (Saturday, March 10th, 2007)
Rotary Power Northwest RX-7 club (RPNW.ORG) is holding a tech session at Pineapple Racing on Saturday, March 10th. This is perennially a very popular event, since our first one ten years ago. Engine builder and all-around rotary guru Rob Golden shares technical information in a Q&A format. Cost is free to members and a $5 recommended donation for non-members (which can be applied to membership within the following 30 days). It is suggested that you bring a folding chair or there is a very good possibility that you will find yourself standing for 3+ hours, if past events are any indication.
Pineapple Racing is located at 12838 NE Airport Way, Portland, OR 97230, a few miles east of the Portland Airport on Airport Way.
Directions -- I-205 South:
To get there from I-205 South, take the Airport Way exit (Exit 24) and turn left at the bottom of the ramp, away from the airport. Pineapple Racing will be on your right on the South side of the street, about half way between 122nd and 138th. Look for the Jack in the Box on the corner of 122nd, follow the road around the bend and turn into the driveway with the USPS Mail boxes on the sidewalk. There is no big sign for Pineapple Racing, but you can look for Gasket Specialties next door in the same building. Pineapple Racing is directly opposite Horsepower Freaks and Torque Freaks, on the other side of Airport Way.
Directions -- I-205 North:
To get there from I-205 North, take the Airport Way East exit (Exit 24B), one exit beyond the Airport Exit (24A). Merge onto Airport Way.

You do NOT need to be a member to participate in any event, including the tech day. Some events have a slightly higher cost for non-members than members. The Tech Day is free, but we will ask for a donation of a couple bucks from non-members to benefit the club. No guilt trip if you don't feel like donating. If you ask for a receipt, whatever you donated will be credited towards your membership if you join within 60 days.

I'll get with Rob and Blake and see what's up. We have parking for about ohhh 25+ so I am sure that we would be good. Actually, I'd like to set up several spring and summer get togethers/drives for charity or Mazda meets. I'll start a thread soon related to this. Don't mean to rob Rob's thread!!! John
