Hey Houston dudes

I am going to be In Houston during the NHRA event at the end of march and was wondering if ya'll had anything going on that weekend? I'll be driving my T2 and would like to check out the 7's in Houston. I lived there for ten years before moving up here to the Dallas area (10 years ago). I'll have fri. and sat. night free and will be staying in the NASA area.

Here are our Houston meeting dates for 2007 ->>> https://www.rx7club.com/south-rx-7-forum-34/rx-club-houston-2007-calendar-meetings-608946/

Create a thread a couple of weeks before the event and perhaps we can get a group meet out to the track!

I will be working at the races all weekend. I work for ESPN as local hire-on working on the starting line. If you have ever been to a national event you know that meeting as a group at the track is not a good idea. This is not like an import race (NOPI) or a car show (no disrespect intended). This race will have all the top NHRA pro teams along with several hundred sportsman racers. You will have to park out in the field along with all the other spectators. That being said, if you have never been to "The Show" I highly recommend it. One of the most impressive things you can witness is a pair of 7,000 HP Top Fuel dragsters making a 4 second pass at 320+ mph.
What I was wanting to know is if any of ya'll get together on the weekends at a local cruise spot or anything like that. When I lived in Houston westhiemer and hywy 6 was active with drive ins and such but its been a while.

I love the Friday night qualifiers, actually got to hang with Shirley's crew behind the starting line one night and could barely keep my eyes open due to the fuel.
