San Diego RX Club Meeting
Come join us this Saturday to continue starting the new year off right.

Recap of January 6th Meeting

Glad to see those of you who made it the the first meeting of the year. I just wanted to review what we talked about and remind you to look at some of the later threads to be posted. We have three (3) events in the planning right now. We will need you support, and even help, for a couple of these.
1) Next Cruise
- The next cruise will probably be early March. Either the 3rd (regular meeting) or the 11th. I will post an announcement next weeked on the exact date and time. I may not have the route figured out, but will pass along a general idea as I know it.
2) Karting
- This isn't a karting challenge like we had almost two years ago, but it will still be fun. This will be at K1Speed in Carlsbad and we would like to hold a race, vice just going up to run around the track. This is where the support comes in. It takes a commitment to make this happen. Money needs to be there, up front.
- Check the following link for pricing.

We are suggesting the Grand Prix event for $60 per person. This provides practice, qualify and race events. Well worth it. Trophies awarded, too. However, if the majority want to go with the Mini Grand Prix, we will do that.
- This could be an end of March or early April event - March 31 or April 1. How are these dates? Suggest others. There is an 8 person minimum, but I believe they can handle 12, perhaps even 16, on the track at once. But, a firm commitment for 8 is what is needed.
- Depending on how I set up my PayPal account, I may be able to front some of the funds, but I need a feel for who is going to make the effort.
3) City Rally
- Dave H. has agreed to organize this event for us. He is resurecting a rally event that the past RX-7 Club put on some years back. This event will probably be the end of April or early May. We need time to verify and update the information, as well as drum up business.
- Anyone wishing to assist Dave, please let me know and send me your e-mail address so that I can get it to him. This should be a lot of fun.
