Seeing as how its been in the single digits lately and spring is still a few months off I've been having a hard time getting motivation to work on it lately...

Thanks Rick.
BTW guys, Since my interest regarding front subframe fabrication is increasing I've started a bump steer discussion in the suspension tech section which I think may be of some informational interest to some of you. I'm really becoming interested in understanding why the Supra 7 has such bump steer issues. If you look at the pics that I posted in the thread you'll see that the rack placement isn't really all that radical. I would almost argue that the Hinson kit moves the rack more than SP's Supra 7 subframe.
Interesting stuff.

How is the progress going?

PROGRESS REPORT = none. I'm currently in Budapest in the middle of my Spring holiday Euro-trip, I have a heap of parts awaiting my return. :o) Will post pics of emblems when I get back. On that note I look forward to a volunteer ride in a 7 on the Autobahn :-) May even make it into your neck of the woods.
I decided that I'm going to anodize my rad black. if that counts as progress. lol

Zach and I got our new Canadian Subframes back from the powdercoater; 3 coates of shiney black. ;o) Too bad is has to go under the car. lol
Anyone ever paid a shop to reudercoat your car. I have the car sprayed TGM underneath, but I think I want to go with the brand spanking new factory look. Perhaps a dark silvery undercoating mixture would do the trick.

My black plate is made out of rough metal that's very hard to keep clean. I also like the metallic flake look of your black plastic. This would complement my metallic flake UIM and other parts.
Very nice conversion work btw...

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
Dave, The black panel is an aluminum part, available through Hinson, that I simply powdercoated Tiger Bangel Black. I plan on making a countoured CF or fiberglass cowel to cover more of the front bay and better complement the curvatious lined of the car.
You may think of using anodized polished aluminum for your panel as well.

Your engine conversion is one of the nicest and most tasteful ones I've seen.
One more question - do you know how much it cost you to have the rear metal flares made and welded to the car? I greatly favor this option over molding in fiberglass. It's something I've been considering.
