RX-2 Steering linkage hardware up for grabs

Guys,

I've been screwed by the 2's previous owner. He either swapped steering knuckles with another car, or he reamed my knuckles and center link to accept the larger-tapered 1st-gen 7 tie rods. Consequently, I'm ordering tie rods for a 7 and have all my brand-new aussie-sourced hardware that's useless.

If anyone wants to rebuild their steering or get some spares on-hand cheap, I have 4 inners, 2 outers, and a pittman arm all fresh from the box. If interested, drop me a line. I'd like to just help defray the costs of replacing these rare parts with my $20 each Autozone RX-7 parts.

Sorry guys, I've just been busy and haven't been perusing the forum like normal.

Because my front end is modified and I have RX-7 hardware on the way, I can't be sure yet of just what hardware is available. I want to make sure I know what works before I post, rather than making corrections and confusing folks. I expect to find that my center link has been reamed so that I'll need RX-7 pittman and tie rods with the RX-2 idler (the bracket on the car is RX-2, but they MAY have replaced the arm itself with RX-7 as well). Once I can mock up my linkage with RX-7 and RX-2 hardware, I'll be able to tell y'all exactly what's available.

Sorry for the delays.

Alright, after finally going through all my hardware, it's all available. Whoever posts first for any given item has dibs.

2 inner tie rods - $20 ea
2 outer tie rods - $20 ea
1 pitman arm - $60
1 steering box (just opened up and is perfect inside, but must be shipped without oil. Ball nut, sector shaft, all seals are in great condition, just fill it and go). - $60

All prices are just what it cost me from Australia.

The steering box was given to me as a spare (little did I know then !!!) with the car. It's appears used, but was never on my car. I've taken it completely apart and inspected it. 30+ years are surprisingly kind to internals that have been swimming in 90-wt oil thie whole time.

Oh, I thought it was new. I am going to wait then as mine is ok at the time. If you have it still for sale in a couple of weeks then I will pick it up as a spare.

Scott's Auto Rubber is the only place I've seen to offer new bushings, seals, etc. They don't supply hard parts, though.

When I bought my hardware, it was through a guy that JesusCookies turned me on to named Rick Mills. When I'm home tonight I'll get it for you, unless you can google him or JC chimes in. He appears to be a regular guy with access to tons of parts, whether through a dealer or something else. He's also just a good guy to work with.

Correction.... it's Robert Mills.

robmills@tpg.com.au

So far as I know, there's no website, but you can email Robert with a list of what you need and the year of your car.
