Hi, I am new and have a question. I figured I'd post in it my "local" regional forum since that is my search area for the car.

Is it reasonable to expect to find a good running, decent condition 1st or 2nd Gen RX7 for under $1500? I am looking for cheap street legal track car and the RX7 seems to be a possible fit. If my expectations are reasonable do you know of any available in the DC Metro area??

yes you can, look on ebay they have a few, not sure in your area but sometimes youll get lucky

 

Depends on condition... And previous owner's intelligence.

Best deal I found was on a 1987 Turbo II for $250... Eventually got it running with no additional parts.

It is now one of the Zeal Engineering, Inc. test vehicles.
