Racetech Open House, glass & paintless dent day

We decided to have like a Open House for the NW members here at the shop. We are offering a reduced price for Windshield replacement (most under $200 installed) and a Paintless Dent removal service. Both will be done by Professionals here at the shop. We will be holding on Oct 7th from 9am to around 5 or so. We can discuss fab techniques, Chassis designs, suspension Set ups, etc.

If any body is interested in getting a windshield for any car, doesn't have to be Mazda, but we can get most glass and a reduced price if you want to pick it up for a later date. I will need to know the specific make and model of vehicle and tint options to get a price on the glass. I will e-mail you back with price of glass and any additional price like moldings and such. We will make reservations for install throughout the day.

We look forward to meeting you! Contact us at sales@racetechmotorsports.com or 503-254-6706. We are located near I5 North and Marine Dr. Near PIR.

Sounds like fun and a good opportunity. I look forward to it. Any idea what the paintless dent removal service will cost? I could probably keep the guy busy for half the day with all my dents and dings.

For those that don't know it, Racetech is one of the premier race car/roll cage fabricators in the Northwest.

Typically paintless dent repair is where they use long slim tools to reach behind the panels and rub out the dings. Some of these guys are miracle workers, but there are some awkward spots that cannot always be reached. I suppose they may also have one of those suction devices in their tool kit, but I doubt it is used that often.

Paintless dent repair is usually not very cheap, but the alternatives are downright expensive. By getting a bunch of people together all at once, we are bound to get a good deal. Haven't yet heard back from Russ on what the cost will be. They usually charge per ding, with easy-to-get-to ones costing less than the really hard-to-reach ones.

By the way, the guy doing the glass is an old friend of mine...fellow crew-member of a Grand Am Cup race team (same team Russ used to drive for). He is a good guy, does excellent work and is *very* reasonable. If you need a new windshield, this is the time and place to do it.

Sorry man, it never even crossed my mind! Of course, it's not my event in the first place. Russ lined up our mutual friend for the glass and had him recommend a paintless dent repair guy.

You should give Russ a call and maybe work something out. I don't think the other guy is set in stone.

I just talked to Tim, the glassman. He gave me some pricing for RX-7 windshields. 1st and 2nd gens would be $180 installed and a 3rd gen would be $200 installed. He said that for the 3rd gen there is a piece of trim that costs $40, which is included in the price, but if he can manage to re-use it, he will drop the price to reflect the savings. Obviously, you need to pre-order to have your windshield installed at the event.

John: Have you talked to Russ yet?

Just a quick heads-up: the even has been postponed one week. Instead of being on October 7th, it will now be held on Saturday, October 14th. Same place, different day.

Any ideas on the price of the paintless dent removal? Is the price per dent or per panel?
