Suggestions on Wiring FC
I wired up my Alpine headunit today to my Autozone harness, plugged it in. No dice. Checked the audio fuse, it was blown, replaced it with a 20amp buss. Still no dice. All my connections are correct, all soldered. The only wires from the harness not connected are the Positive Dimmer and Power antena wires(with shrink tube covering the exposed wires.
I broke out my DMM and tested the Batt Wire, and Power Wire from the car harness. The Power wire with Key in shows 10.93v, the Batt wire however shows .54v. Obviously the wire that is supposed to get 12v all the time is not. Everything else is good including my grounds.
So I must get 12v to the memory wire. Would it be alright to run a wire from the battery(already have an Accessory "bracket" connect for my Fuel pump rewire and amp, with a few extra spaces) to an inline 20amp fuse to the memory wire on the Alpine harness?
Thanks,
Mitch
