need some advice please...
ok I have a set of forgeline racing wheels that are fully polished with a clear coat on them... I would like to strip the clear off, polish them, then recoat the center section with a clear.... I will be useing a steel wool pad and some aircraft remover made by Klean strip.... my question is: If I take my wheel off the car and lay flat on the ground can I spread aircraft remover with the pad and it not harm my tires ... I would like to do this with my tires still mounted...I would be doing it very slowly, like a lite sanding motion .... What about the seal around the valve stem, would it eat that up? is there anything I can put on my tires to sheild it from harm.... any sugestions to help me out....thank you
oh one more question...after the wheels are cleaned up and polished....do I just spray it with clear then....I have done alot of painting stuff in the past, but never clear coated a wheel, so how would the paint stick if it is polished up and is very slick?...
