Need help with my FB - Bay Area

Hey I live in the Bay Area, Fremont and am looking for someone to help me replace the clutch cylinders and possibly brake cylinder on my 12A FB. The car is immobile so you'd have to come with me but I can pay cash and/or feed you as my girlfriend is an excellent cook.

Inquire in reply or PM.

Simply removing the slave/release clutch cylinder. Real pain to get to, that coupled with my lack of forearm/hand strength. I may post in the 1st Gen Tech for any hits someone may have on how to go about doing it.

Also need to hit the yard again tomorrow, I found the waterpump fan spacer thing I need. But it looks like I'll need a pair of 10mm wrenches and some PB blaster.

replace the clutch slave, hoses and clutch master at the same time. So you dont have to worry about it.

PB blaster on the clutch fan spacer? You got to be kidding. Leave the belts in place, wedge a screwdriver on the bolts and loosen the bolts one at a time. The screwdriver will prevent it from spinning.

The clutch master is kind of a pain, just make sure to get a 12mm deep socket. It makes getting in there much easier. When I changed mine out I was using regular sockets and trying to jam wrenches up in there. With the right tool it would've taken 5 min.

For the slave just use one of those u-joint adapters and a few extensions. Depends if you have all the stock stuff and the beehive oil cooler. If you have all that garbage it makes it harder to get to, heh.

Where is this car again?

Mike

Bay Area, Fremont. It can't travel either, due to this and other reasons. =/

hydraulic line to clutch slave cylinder: Be sure to break it loose before unbolting the 2 12mm bolts.

Rubber to slave cylinder. For hard to soft line, be sure to use 2 wrenches; whatever you have and 10mm flare wrench.

Well I just got some extensions, deep wall sockets, and a universal joint socket thing so I'm thinking may be able to do it but still help would be great. ^^
