I'm just trying to get an idea (and I guess, a list) of RX7 owners that live mainly in the Chester County area. I live in Exton, but I'm usually in West Chester, Lionville, Downingtown, and Eagle. I drive a red '91 N/A with a 13B that I ported and built myself (as well as other mods). My brother Kevin drives a primer black '79 widebody with a 13B turbo (T04B turbo). His car should be back on the road probably around June (the state took his license plate for having no ins. apparently). And 2 others in Eagle, Jon and Bob. Jon drives a Black '91 TII with a rebuilt and ported 13B-RE that I did entirely myself, his car should be on the road soon. Bob has the Montego Blue '93 but it's completely immobile (empty engine bay). I also have a friend (Kevin) who lives in Kennett Square and drives a red '94 RX7, but it is also currently immobile because he has yet to put in the ported and rebuilt engine (that I did myself) into his car. His should also be on the road soon. I believe all of us are going to Rotor Fest this summer with our cars.

I know there's someone that lives in West Chester here. He's got a 93-95 competition yellow mica R1 rx7. I saw him last week when he get off the exit on rt.202 while I was on the other side of the highway with my hood open on the side of the road. (I sucked in alot of water the night before, so it was running shitty).

His name on the forums is ratincat or somethin like that. I dont know where he lives but he is in the exton area. I live in downingtown but havnt had my FD up there yet. We both go to UTI, which is in exton. I should have mine up there in hopefully around a month,we will probably run into each other im sure.

anybody know of any meets?...if not one should be planned(maybe even a touge club) there is rt.282 and 82 i know they arent canyons but it is the closest thing we have in this area. I just need to check on the cop situation

 

yeah, 282 and 82 are always fun in my opinion. I've pushed my rx7's pretty damn hard on those roads

 

I'm from the Northeast but if there is ever a meet going on later in the summer I will be more than willing to cruise down and meet up. That is if I get my car back together any time soon.

By the way a buddy of mine worked at the Boscov's in Exton he said he worked with a guy that had a 7, or atleast he said the guy told him he had one.

Im thinking we should start a club and see how many people there are in our area. It would be cool to have a summer meet at Exton Mainstreet or this walmart parkinglot that my friend was talking about(there arent any cops b/c the township is too small for a station)

 

Aside from KD rotary, I'd have to say that I'm a very good rotary mechanic. I've been driving and working on RX7's for about 10 years now. I know rotaries soo well that the piston engine seems foreign to me. I've pretty much worked on just about every aspect of the RX7 as well as built 4 13B's soo far. (a turbo II 13B, a 13B-RE, a 13B 6-port, and a 13B-REW--I ported them all too). If anyone ever needs a hand, let me know.

That was most likely my brother Kevin. He worked there at Boscov's and has had his widebody '79 RX7 for about 9 years now. It's been a longtime project car. 13B with 3mm apex seals, ported, TO4B turbo, liquid intercooler, Microtech ECU, etc.

 

Oh yeah, I completely agree with having a club. I'd like to gather as many as possible. I figure anyone within an hour's distance is close enough. It's just soo frustrating alot that most meets seem to be atleast 2 hours away from me and I get discouraged to go, or that the meets nearby seem to happen like once or twice a year.

 

hey all, that yellow R1 is my friend Mike. He's running a T78 with a four puck clutch, it's pretty nasty car i hear.

i'd be up for a club, i live in pottstown but i'm in exton a lot cuz i attend UTI. I have a friend up here named julian who owns an FC.

hey do any of you guys have like a driveway or a garage in the area, and could help me do my clutch cuz im kinda in a jam. i have the tranny and clutch out of my FC but the outer cage on my pilot bearing is stuck in the eccentric shaft. Plus my apt. complex threatened to tow my car and evict me if i continued to work on it. So i had AAA tow my car to cottman's transmissions, and that was a week ago. I dont have the money to have them do the job, but i dont have a place to work on it.

i dont know figured i'd throw it out there see if i could get any support. i have the tools to do the job, just not the space to do it.

Umm i will probably start filming hopefully middle of june if not in the beginning of july like june 1st if i can. I am ordering a side car cam holster maybe two and some audio equipment. It all depends on when they arrive.
