Exclamation FRIGIN 3800r.p.m hesitation!!!

What is with this crap?
Why is it like some witchcraft pile of cow dung to fix it!?
Like go outside in minus 40 weather and whack your motor with a hammer,
Pee on it , pay close attention to aim right at the ground and and then boot the bastard and that should fix it!
Gimme a break..... I tried fuel filter, I tried wires, plugs, cleaned air filter(k&N)
Checked grounds.....Still same ole crap.
Someone mentioned putting injector cleaner in fuel and driving so that the secondaries kick in frequently to loosen them up??!!
Anyone got an ideas?
Thanks,
Greg

That is insane!
I am so frustrated by it.
You try to fix it?
Is an aftermarket or reprogrammed Ecu needed?

ive heard u can get rid of it with the PFC properly tuned. isnt the hesitation caused by the prespool of the secondary turbo? its the worst when u have someone in ur car thats never been in an rx7 and it jerks and bucks and makes u look like a bit of an *** for spending all ur money on a 13 year old car. lol gotta love the 7
is ur car an fd or fc?

a PFC is an Apex-i Power Fuel Controller. a popular stand-alone ecu upgrade for fds.

for stock setup you dont need a standalone.

But if you wanted to spend a little bit more , you can get them at www.rx7store.net.

About $ 950 US . Remember you need someone to tune it for you wich is probably another , $ 300-$ 500 CDN .

Did you even try grounding the ECU?

I was told it was to override turbo, fuel cut off.
If boost exceeds 8 psi it tells fuel to shut off, and this "apparently" overrides this.

Fuel cut of is for something totally different.

Your problem right now is 3800 hesitation.

I posted 2 threads were the explained how to fix it, did you read them ?

the biggest things are the grounds !!!! wich cost nothing to fix. Check ECU , and check grounds on engine to firewall, and or bellshouing to firewall.

Then check your TPS .

Those should solve your problems.

You dont need a Stand alone to fix the problem, tuning twaeking a stand alone is far harder than grounding the stock items in our cars.

And do not install a Fuel cut defender if you dont have any fuel mods. As you will boost well over 8 psi in this cold and not have fuel and end up with a beatiful shell and no motor.

my 2 cents

I did read and follow the instructions for grounding..... That is why I am still asking.
I really appreciate the help, and I am not in the slightest bit trying to sound unappreciative, just a little frustrated.
I have tried all of the above mentioned. Asides from the stand alone.
I am just digging around I guess.

I have some mods done not sure exactly what they all are, as I just got the pig 5 days ago.
So.....
thank you all again.

I had this problem, all I had to do was ground the ecu... which does NOT mean attach a wire to the ecu chassis. So you're saying that you spliced wires into your ecu plug and grounded them?
