Are these 160lb/1680cc injectors?
Are these 160lb/1680cc injectors?
Just received these injectors. Vendor advertises them as "Ford Motorsport 160#" injectors. selling them at $55 per. Came as you see them on the pic, with no caps, haphazardly black spray painted metal bodies hand scripted 1947183 on one injector and 1327183 on the other using a Dremmel tool or something. Very faint smell of WD40 on feed side, top o-ring is neon yellow, along with its pintle cap, lower o-ring bright blue with a school bus yellow plastic spacer on top. Numbers cast on the pale blue plastic body are:
On one side:
On electric plug: 927
Bosch logo, then 083, and below them: 0 280 150 843
On the other side:
On the electric plugh: + sign
Chrysler logo, then 130, and below them: 53030518AB
Searched these numbers on Google, NAPAonline and on the forum, got no matches anywhere. Can anybody confirm me that these are indeed 160lb/1680cc injectors? Do you think the Dremmel scripting means they are reman or something?

I bought mine from http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injec...ODS.asp#cngrec
$105 for the pair.

They came exactly like this

So, after contacting the vendor and some further investigation, here is the final word on the injectors I received:
[QUOTE]The injectors that you have are 160lb. injectors that were flowed back
on 7/18/03. At that time one of them flowed 141.2 at 18ms and the other flowed
142.8 at 18ms (which is roughly 90% duty cycle). We are now using different
o-rings than those, but am unaware of any problems that people may or may not
have had with them.
The 160lb. injectors that are currently in our bins carry a Bosch part number of
280150842. Part of this change came as we had to switch suppliers within the
last couple years. The 160's come in flowing anywhere from 160 to 165lb and
therefore we never switched the name of them.
Thank you,
Brian
