yea guys you heard it right. i went to my friends house and my car died right in front of his house the battery was goos then when i tried to start it wasnt.DEAD!!! when i jumped it idle was good revs good motor is running rich but now i put it in gear and go to drive and car turns on and off by itelf WTF!!!! Im halfway to being pissed. any help would help right now.thanks-erik

 

Dead Battery has high resistance so it won't charge or discharge.

yes but ive even tried jump starting the battery, disconnecting it(car still running) and put it in gear and when i go to accelerate the same thing

 

its sounds like a bad alternator
