Thos guys only did 2nd gens. Luie does the 3rd gens and the owner only rebuilds (no R&R).
so how big was your bill after you did the dyno? what, they didn't offer to rebuild your motor for $4k? "lol"

rob-thats not true at all man. jacob built motors back then and chino did the wrench work. I was always happy with the motor work that nick and louis did. My problem was that I never really wanted to spend ungodly amounts of money on doing everything right back then. I did not get it right with the car until I did this past year. Nick and Louis always found ways to keep my car on the road...including driving me home one day when my car was there at the shop, and coming to my work to fix a radiator hose which had come loose. I always had good luck with them.

Chino and Jacob have been gone for a few years now.

Nick and Louis...hope you and the guys doing well.

hope yer doing well too rob...you still have the car?

Believe it or not guys...I finally sold my FD. Went with a t62-1 turbo and put down 412rwhp at 16psi. But, I moved back to cali and can not drive it in san fran...so the days of that car being my nightmare and sweet dream are finally over.

I won't be back until I find the low milage fd i want and all the 3 rotor goodies too.

Microtech tuning is incredibly tough to come by from my experience. Your best bet would be to contact Infini_IV on the forum. Hes pretty awesome.

Blew my untuned engine. i'm going down the same road you went to. Debating going single or not. Have no enthusiasm about the car anymore. I never got to drive it. I've been spending all my time and money on my new F150 4x4 which gets a wonderful 10mpg. What happened to Austin, Texas? I wouldn't get another 3rd gen. You should wait for a 4th gen or get the Z06 that you wanted.

Jacob and Chino

Yep, they left R&R about 4 years ago. Jake sold his wagon about the same time he left. Last I heard (about 4 months ago) they're both still in the area, but their wrenching efforts are more generic than rotory specific when last checked.
