Thumbs up I paid 20 bucks to pass at a test only station today

I’ve been trying to sell one of my FD's for a few months now and yesterday some kid came with his parents. I showed them the car and they really liked it, but told me I needed to smog the car first before they can buy. Today, I drove to my buddy's shop to use his smog machine. I scanned the VIN number & license's plate number and a state referee/ test only message came up. My buddy said I had to take it to a test only station so he called his other buddy that runs a Test Only station. Then I drove to the other shop and 20 minutes later, he gave me the certificate. Only cost me 20 bucks!

Do you mean your car passed the test, or the guy 'made it pass' for you?

Either way, that's a pretty good price.

Why are you posting in public about bribing a government-licensed smog technician?

My best friend's dad owns 4 shops in the same area as the Test Only station. He said he knows him and does business w/ him all the time and he hooked me up.

Well I mean, you either bribed the guy to sign off that your car passes when it doesn't, or you just got a good deal on a smog test. I haven't seen you posting about getting an awesome price at Walmart on two-ply toilet paper, so I'm forced to assume the former.

You think what you want... if making up BS works for you.. go for it. I know a lot of the FD owners around my area so if they need the hook up.. all they have to do is search and find this thread. And, that doesnt mean Im hooking up everyone.
