Back on topic before Christian bans me, I would like to keep RC3 going. I am willing to help out with anything. But we can't even figure out what other people want because the only onces responding are the regulars. I would like to hear from everyone else. Why don't you guys every come out to any meets or go cruising with the rest of us?

Once my **** luck stops I'll make it out to meets and may be able to drag a couple other locals here to make the trip.

Do you want the club the Rotory Car Club of Chicago or just the FC Club of Chicago. If it is the latter, it will die. If it is the former, we must be more enthusiastic about inviting the 8's and it's future variants that the Mazda gods produce.
I am a former owner of 2 FB's and the present owner of an 8.

For those that are voting "what the hell is RC3" it is the Rotary Car Club of Chicago. Now that being said, rotary means all gens. As far as inviting the 8s, we have posted on the rx8 forums and the only 8 that shows up is you! So how do we get people to come out?

OHHH thats what RC3 means...!!!

Okay consider my vote changed from "What the hell..." to "I'll do everything I can.. " or like at least "I will show up....!" (yea i know that wasnt a choice)

anywhoo.. if you dont know who I am.. I was the one a couple BBQ's back (about a year ago) with the XL-1s videotaping a little bit (the one who totally couldnt keep up with you guys...!!)

Anywhoo.. I dumped the XL1s for an XL2 and if this RC^3 thing survives count me in for being at a meet or so to practice my cinematography skills yo!

(heh, XL-2 has better low light capabilities)

Dan

Ohh btw is there some mailing list i can get added to? 'Cause sometimes i forget to check the forum regularly, and miss out and whatnot.

*edit* wow.. two "anywhoo"s.. that is just plain incredible

I don't know what to vote, exactly.

I like *going* to the BBQ's at ASpec(or anywhere else for that matter, venue flexible), once a month/once in a while kind of things. But I doubt I'll *ever* make it to a lunch down town during the week kind of thing.

I'm definately not active enough to help run things.

I guess I'll vote : Keep it, and I'll attend(and watch).

He has spoken!!!! I couldn't agree more I think the once a month or weekly lunches is asking a bit much. There should be a spring thing to bring in summer, a fall thing to watch it leave. With a track event or two during the summer, be it bring the cars to the track or we all just go and watch a event.

well guys, ive been to my share of meets these last 2yrs or so and i dont think it should die. Its hard for me to come to the mini meets downtown too...especially if they are during the week. Any of the big planned weekend BBQ meets have seemed to turn out just fine. Maybe we should throw in a weekday night too to meet somewhere, like a thursday night by shaumburg as there is usually a pretty good turnout of lots of cars, plenty of parking and i always see at least 1-3 rotarys that just happen to be cruisin around.

I have tried my best as a sort of advertiser for the club by doing the videos from the meets to give newcomers a feel for what we do and stuff but i think that might be my limit. I dont have the power to arrange something like a track day or inviting everyone over to my lil crib for a get together.

..just my .02 cents
