PA Rotorfest Caravan.

Well seeing as there are already a couple threads for other states, I figured I would start one for PA.

I would like to see where everyone is coming from then we could plan somewhere to meet up.

I plan on going one way or another. I do not know if my 7 will be on the road then or not. My daily driver is a neon.

What route do you guys plan on taking? It might be easier to meet up at a rest stop along the way.

Dave,

This is Jeff, one of the guys you drove with last year. (Red 89 GTUs) I've got the "crew" from the Hazleton area pretty well organized for our annual treck. There should be at least 5 of us...maybe 2 more.

I know last year we came across I-84 but since the venue has moved, I-80 is going to be a better route. So how about this? From Scranton: Come down I-380 and merge onto I-80 just west of Stroudsburg. There is a Rest Area right there about 2-3 miles down from where I-80 and I-380 meet. We could all join up there. If the gates for the show open at 11, how about we meet at 10:00 AM at the rest area? We'll wait there for 30 minutes to collect everyone and then head out at 10:30.

This invitation goes out for ANYONE coming from Upstate NY and all points in western PA.

Questions? Shoot me an email: wozzoo@ptd.net

Jeff

Meet up in DE like scrubs said... I advise everyone to buy some walkies to make it easier for communication purposses (english sucks)... so we can cut off people if we want and to make sure everyone is cruising at the same speeds.. and if someone has a technical difficulty they can yell it out on the walkie..

Cool! Looking forward to seeing you again.

If anyone else is coming from Pittsburg/Altoona/State College/Williamsport area and wants to meet up with us, you're more then welcome. EVERYONE bring your Motorolla Walkie Talkies if you have them. Channel 7 of course.

Palmyra/Hershey PA here... Would love to follow the caravan down with my 86 GXL... it's not a show car, but I love my RX and have a hard time finding anyone around the area to yap it up with. Only RX's i've seen around here are a couple of 8's, a GXL and GTU for sale (way overpriced) and some kid driving around in a GXL delivering Papa John's...

If no-one would mind me tagging along, I'd love to.

EDIT::: does anyone have a link to where I can check the NHRA guidelines? I'd like to take this chance to see what my 1/4 is before upgrades.

Hershey area... Will you be coming up I-81 N and then jumping on I-80, or would you go through Allentown? You're more than welcome to meet up with our caravan on I-80 if you'd like!

I think George is going to get in touch with everyone who he built motors for, or did work on their rotaries to go. So there should be a pretty good group riding out.

I could go that way. I was just going to take 76 into NJ and then go north. Any others around dauphin, lanc, or lebanon that would be headed up and wanna cruise up to meet all the others?
