Question Idle A/F Ratio ?

What A/F ratio (voltage) should be seen at idle?

Mine is currently in the .89-.91 range and it seems to be running rather rich. The exhaust stinks like fuel and the car stubles a bit. I just put a new motor in and when I fired it up I had to pull some fuel out using the PFC to get it to idle anywhere near decent since the A/F was around .98.

now I have it idling fairly well but it still seems a bit rich to me.

Mods are:
Street ported motor
Power FC
Bosch fuel pump
550 primary 1300 seconary injectors
N-Tech DP
Mid Pipe
N1 Dual cat back
No emissions stuff
Simplified turbo control system

Once the engine is broken in it's going to the dyno, but untill then i would like to get the idle situation worked out.

With my air pumped running and the O2 idle control function on, mine idles with .03V. But with both off as when I am running my UEGO linear O2 tests, mine reads .8V.

I see you have the 1300 injectors, what are the lag time correction values they put in the PFC for you? Who programmed it for you? If you had the time, would you mind posting your maps since alot of people are getting the 1300 secondaries, me included. I'm going to post mine when I get my PFC back from Ray. I've already posted my current maps.
Atleast post the lag time correction values.
Thanks,

O2 Voltage

Thanks Chuck for the reply. I'll shoot for that.

I don't have any lag time setup for the injectors since they were my old 850's and RC said I shouldn't have to work about setting them up any differently.

Once the car is tuned I'll see about posting my maps.

Hate to say it, but RC is wrong. Any injector size changes should change the timing (spraying) that the ecu (PFC) needs to start to open the injector. Sure it might work without changing the lag time correction, but what happens when you floor it, while you were almost the the switchover point from primary to primary/secondary (2800rpms roughly) and the larger injector takes a split second longer for it to start spraying like a stock 850cc. For that split second you'd be on the boost, and also running it lean, deadly combination. plug in atleast +.04 for the secondaries and once I get mine back from Ray tuned for my 1300's, I'll post what the lag times he plugged in.

sorry for my last post in so far as saying to plug in a +.04 value for the 1300 lag correction time. I went back through some old posts and turned these values when that didn't sounds right for the 1300. I think Chuck is using +.04 on his 1200 cc injectors I think, but not 100% sure.

1300 cc

FR pr - 100% -.12ms
FR sc - 100% +.16ms
RR pr - 100% -.12ms
RR sc - 100% +.16ms

XS tuned map had this correction values

same as above except -.12ms
+.20ms
-.12ms
+.20ms

Gotcha, I'll have to make those changes.

I'll call RC today and talk to Wayne and ask what the lag times really are. He's the one who did my injectors and is supposedly very knowledgable in this type of stuff.
