17x9 up front

I am going to purchase some wheels all are 17x9. will 245x17x45 work on the front? and 17x275x 40 on the back?

Run 255/40 17 with 17x9 up front.

EDIT: I don't know why you would do that. Just run 255/40 17 all around, which will enable you to rotate tires. If you want to run a 275/40, I would go with a 17x10 wheel.

Manny Lozano ("Sleep R1"), driving instructor/ex-FD owner ran 17x9, 255/40-17 all around on his track FD.

Make sure with those sizes, your wheel offsets are all at least +45.
