2nd anual mt. st. helens run

well after much debate on when to do this again. it has been decided at the izzy's meet to have it may 29th. it's late enough in the year not to get any snow fall and hopefully no rain. last year was a great turn out. had 29 cars plus an 8 that was going to a wedding saw and joined in. i'll post some pics of last years and i need to do a little research on the times and direction. would like for some of the other side to be able to join on this one, oregon and easterers. so depending on the responses for that date depends on wich path we drive. hope we can have more make it this year than last 50 cars cruising to helens! HELL YEAH!

About time you posted some sorta event Kettlman. I will send you all the info I have on last years drive as far as stops and times etc.... Everything went well except for which gas station to meet at on the stop before going up to Mt.St.Helens.

I will do my best to show up for this one if at all possible. The only reason I couldnt show up is that this is on a Sunday, and its a long drive back to Spoken after doing a long drive to Mt.St.Helens.

We should try a southern approach this time 'round. There's two reasons for this. The Mtn's recent activity means the road to Johnston Ridge may not be open all the way to the observatory on the north side, and there are some very, very good twisties between cougar and climber bivwac (sp?).
