only the hks 6 speed dogmission. loud as hell, $6 grand, and dog cut teeth, no sychros, only clutch for 1st and reverse, the rest is rev match and slam it. not a streetable tranny for the most part.

WTF -- V8 my ***! It may take some modification but, if you got a 6 speed from a RX8 it would be a hell-of-a-lot easier than a V8!

there is no reason to, unless you are a ricer who wants to show it off, or an idiot who thinks it makes a differecne. all it will do is wiegh more and possibly break faster (unless we are talking v8 tranny).

Fc + mods = more power, so more torque

torque + rx-8's 6 speed tranny = higher chances of blowing it

stay with the usual 5 speed...

hahhaaa, sure its easier to modify a RX8 6speed trans to work but it might end up costing you 3/4 as much as a LS1 v8 swap. and which would you rather have? a 250 hp rotary and 6speed or a 350 hp v8 and 6speed?

the LS1 swaps are not that difficult, trust me, I did mine myself. it didnt even change the way the car handles. in fact it made the car easier to drive and better on gas and more reliable with that much hp.
where do you guys get your (mis)information?

anyways to get back to the original question, why do you want a 6speed trans?
its so easy to change out the rear end's gear on the differential that you can effectively change your gears to whatever fits your purpose. you can super short gearing like a 4.7 or 5.1 gear for better acceleration or super long gearing like a 3.7 or 3.5 for high top speeds.
