It's a Series 5 TII (89+), which a lot of people prefer. A running S5 is certainly worth a lot more than $500. The mileage is high for a turbo rotory and I would certainly budget in an engine rebuild.

Do a compression check on the engine (search the forum for info), always recommended when buying a car.

People spend more then $500 for just a stripped TII shell. I say you buy it, specially if it's a Series 5 Turbo II.

defenitly, totally worth it. Even if the engine is blown, its a series 5 the better of the TII series. A rebuild will cost you around 1500$ approx and then a fuel pump at about 100-150$. Now your at about 2100$ with a fully working nice TII. Good buy either way.
