Hoods on Red FD's

I am wanting to get a new hood for my Red FD. I was hoping for some pictures,Ideas,Input. I want something that looks clean, and cools the engine. I don't mind carbon Fiber, but I have not seen an FD in real life that has one. Help me out guys I would really appriciate the assitance. Thanks

Mike

how much for that hood? Hows the fit? Do you have to use hood pins with it?

It was $1350 through chuck at Rotary Extreme. The fitment is very good. I had to widen the holes to pull it forward some, but there's very, very little space or gaps. I think they recommend using hood pins, but it does have a strong latch with it.

I like that hood a lot, but from that picture there it seems like it does not meet up perfect. seems like it sticks up a bit on the sides.

Depends who you get it from.
This is not my car. I am getting that exact same hood but in fiberglass from pettit racing. I should have the car back this week. I will post pictures then.

The stock hood looks best. Keep what you have.

He also said he wanted function. A stock hood provides little cooling function.

They are made by APR performance. They are a direct bolt on, but they don't quite cover the entire footprint of the stock mirrors. Almost, but not entirely. Here's the info:

go knightsports, looks the best imo, and its fully functional. my opinion might be slightly skewed by the fact that thats what i run on my car.

I'm probably going to get a Knightsports knock-off when the weather heats up again to combat the RIDICULOUS underhood temps during our 95 degree days in Florida.
