1981 Mazda Rx7 -Vs- 1996 Dodge Neon
Ok this is crazy. Knowing that I have a sport car but yet my girlfriend neon have more horsepower than my car. LOL! This is the battle Between Rx7 & Neon. If this two stock cars were to race. Which one would ya think it will win in a 1/4 miles and why? Also I know that the drivers would make a big different but just assume both drivers are great so the differents is not on their driving skills but more in the cars stock peformance.

i raced sooooo many neons (mostly on the highway) back when all i had was exhaust. i would PWN them pretty bad. seriously, they might be rated at the numbers you posted, but i've seen them on the dyno and it hardly reflects that. you can take one easily.

I have also run Neons at the track (1/8 mile), with a header and a decent driver they run 9.9, which is a little quicker than what my SE does. I have no header though, just a straight pipe, so without the header they are about the same. I would say depends on the drivers.

I've had both a 99 Neon RT and a 85 RX-7 GSL and stock the neon is just a little quicker from the jump but the 7 pulls harder in 3rd and 4th. Both with headers, exhaust, and intake the 7 is stronger all around.
