HKS T04R vs. BB T66/60-1

Ok I can get either of these turbos. One is a genuine HKS T04R, .96 AR. The other started out as a 60-1 BB CHRA, .96 AR. Then the owner put in a T66 compressor wheel.

Now I am assuming the T66 will spool a good deal faster and the T04R will provide more power? I will run 16psi on the street and 20 on the track. Thanks for the help with my final decision.

Just for kicks here goes...I chose a TO4R 1.0 A/R divided housing with a divided manifold. I am also running a full 4 inch exhaust to aid in spool time. I also have a large streetport. My car should make 15psi and 450rwhp around 3800rpm and be a guided missile above that. I will run 16psi on the street and 20psi at the track. The 20psi should be good for over 500rwhp. The TO4R has fantastic power gains above 20psi also. I've also heard nothing but good things about the 60-1 so do some research and I'm sure you'll pick which one suits you better. Good luck man, hope that helped a little.

looks like you have a similar setup to carx7
he has the BB garrett equivalent of a T04R
Large Streetport
One Piece Mandrel Bent 4" Downpipe <----wtf, craziness!
dual tial 38mm's, etc etc etc
haltech e6k i think
made around 470rwhp@19psi i think after steve kan tuned er up

steve said the downpipe was probably hurting torque, and was bigger than needed.
Which is the only reason I mentioned this.

what a car makes and what it "should make" are often 2 different things. see how many t-66s are making > 500rwhp on a street port

as for t04r or t-66, the t04r if i recall correctly is a 67mm inducer. id take the t-66 because it can flow more air than youll need and the ball bearing will help it spool nice.
