couldnt get it to break loose. went to work and busted out the air wrench. I thought it was working but the o2 sensor was actually rounding out and now the wire on it broke off.

how much difference is it going to make and how am I going to get it off now?

Yea use vicegrips. If that doesnt work get a torch and heat it up then try it again.

 

You have to run her and heat the exhaust manifold up, man...You don't want to heat up the sensor itself with a torch- that will expand it even more compared to the manifold bung...

If all you do is stop & go/ city driving, I wouldn't worry about it anyway...If you do a lot of highway cruising, worry about it...

 

Get some WD40 or Liquid Wrench, spray that bitch before you go to bed at night. When you wake up, spray it again, go get breakfast or something to let it sit for a little while, then come back and try to get that bitch with the vice grips.

 

BTW, its going to make about 6mpg and clogged cats difference... other than that... meh. I've been driving with a foobar'd disconnected o2s for about a month. Nothing really shitty other than gas mileage.

EDIT: As for how to get it out? Weld a big *** nut to it. Get a big wrench. Turn. Problem solved.

Remember- you want to heat up the hole to make it larger, in relation to the thingy that's in the hole (keep it as cool as possible)...

when i had trouble getting off one of my O2 sensors i just took a vice grips and grabbed teh sensor on the neck and bent the **** out of it so i coudl get it out of the bung. They're pretty easy to bend on the neck so just go that route and it shoudl come out fairly easy, also might want to try tapping the vice with a hammer to loosen it up a little.
