I got my cool flip switch now where to wire???

hey all

i got a flip up toggle switch for my FC for security and other reasons (cool factor).

and i wanted to know which wire could i cut and hook to the switch that was in the ignition wiring that would make it able to have it off at start up and it wouldnt allow the engine to turn over. and when its on everything works as normal but i can turn it off during normal driving.

can anyone help out?

get a wiring diagram, follow the wiring for the ignition and put the switch inline with the starter...

Find a circuit-diagram for the WHOLE of the car, and have the switch run multiple relays to cut the power to the following items:

# Starter motor solonoid

# ECU power

# Coils

# Fuel-pump

i dont wanan do that because iu want to be able to turn the switch off when im driving and that wouldnt help if i turned those off, thus while only doing the solenoid wire it only affects startup and nothing else when driving

Just wire it to the starter then. Car will only start w/ the switch on, and you can turn it on and off at will, as long as you don't need to use the starter

the wiring guide is in the hanes manual...or you could try to find one online...and if you wanna be an ***, you can hide the switch so that only you know how to start the car....do it right and it won't even be able to be hotwired...
