Rear wheel bounces on hard turns

I have a 1990 GXL. The right rear wheel feels like it is bouncing like crazy when taking fast turns. The whole car vibrates, and it seems to be coming from the right rear wheel. It doesnt happen on straight-aways, only on turns. Does anyone know what causes it? Thanks

this is a longshot but do you think you might've thrown a spring?
if there's a loud clunking too get it checked out, also the car would be lower on whatever side...

Check your shocks/Struts. When I 1st got my 7, the backend would come off the road while cornering, you could feel it bounce. Scared the hell out of me. My shocks were stuffed (you could compress them in your hands). Quick test is push down on the car above the shock and let it go, it'll either come backup and settle in a controlled manner or bounce up and down a few times (this is bad). If your still not sure drive it to a suspension place they'll probably figure it out in about a min flat.

It sounds like a wasted shock absorber. Upgrade time!

Bad rear shock(s)
Jack the car up and I bet one or both rear shocks are leaking.
Replace.
