help me restore my gsl-se's stereo to it's former glory
so here's the deal. i got this SE in pretty good shape. i need to replace the rear carpet, clean out the hatch area good, and re-dye the door panels. the car has less rattles than my '98 civic; i love it.
anyhoo. the radio is the stock unit with the graphic equalizer. i love how it's all ghetto blaster style. what i want to do it make the radio sound kind of nice using the stock headunit and only stock-sized speakers on a pretty tight budget.
my plan is to pick up a 100-ish watt 4-channel amp (25x4) with speaker level inputs, and mount it under the storage bin near where the stock amp is. as for speakers, i'm thinking of getting some inexpensive speakers, a step above the paper cone action; something that will resist deterioration. maybe spend $60-100 for two pairs.
any recommendations on specifics as far as the amp and speakers go?

The SE stereo already has 2 amps. I just replaced my speakers with Infinity Kappas and got a nice quality boost. When I run my walkman CD player through the tape player I get a big volume boost as well...
Needs more bass, other than that it's good enough for me!
