will a japanese pfc work for US cars?
i am going to buy a japanese pfc for my car. there are two things i am wondering:
1. will the language and readings be in japanese?
2. will it even work with the US cars?

where? i have searched!! i didnt find anything.... i only found that you have to clip wires so it works properly...
its for a 96+ year.... will it work or will it have to be 92-95?

96+ uses a 16 bit ecu, I'm told. That's why the harness changed. So you can't even rewire the harness to make it work. Unless, of course, you change the entire harness, all the sensors that changed, etc.

There are 3 version of PFC from APEXI. It defined for S6(93-95), S7(96-98), and S8(99+). Each version parts number can find on Japanese APEXI web site.
I bought my PFC from Japan and no problem with it. Just make sure you buy the correct model. Some people said they don't have the basic map but I don't think it is a matter coz you need to tune it and match your setting.
So, there is no problem to buy PFC from Japan unless you care the warranty but I think you care more about the price which may cheaper than buying at US.

I have a socalled 'US' PFC fitted to my JSPEC car, works perfect, I DID NOT have to clip the wires.......learn anything yet?
