Question Mass air flow and intake problem on a 10th FC, T O4

Alright as you read on the subject I have a friend that just bought a tenth anniversery edition rx7. It just had the engine rebuilt and a t o4 not sure what series. any ways now the stock pipe from the airbox does not fit onto the turbo. so we made one for the time being. so that screwed up the mass airflow sensor because of the piece of pipe is not the right leangth. etc. Wont idle, no power in 3 gear above 6 grand. What do we do. AFC? Special pipe? or mabe a new mass air flow meter?. Please help us, I know some of you have had this problem. Also suposedly the engine might be ported and biger injectors. Probably some issues with useing the stock ecu. also. Thanks guys I realy need your advice.

Ok, I have a couple ideas. There could be a hole in the Turbo inlet duct. Did you plumb the vacuum fitting into the new tube you made? Its a small one by the face of the turbo. Also, what did you do about the BOV? If its the stock one do you have a check valve on it?

You werent very specific about the setup you made....

If you have any leaks between the mass air sensor the car won't idle. It will stall alot too.
