Installed Power FC and Idles very high

I just installed the Power FC and the car seems to run okay except it ides at 3000 RPM. I tried turning the idle screw and it was already backed off all the way? Any ideas? It almost acts like the choke is on but it never backs off...

Any ideas? Is anyone close to Omaha that knows anything about tuning FD's??

Matt

Was this after you allowed the PFC to learn the car for 15 minutes at idle?

I thought I did the install correctly, but maybe not?
Can I startover somehow and erase the PFC memory?

Thanks,
Matt

Sounds like you are adjusting the wrong idle air screw. Are you adjusting the screw under the elbow or one of the tb linkage screws?

I was adjusting the one under the throttle linkage. It has a little nut on it that you must loosen before it will turn at all. I guess there is another screw under the black filter that should work better?

Please advise...

Thanks,
Matt

The idle air screw is under the elbow. Stand at the driver fender and look at the motor, the adj screw head is facing you but you cannot see it. Reach under the elbow and you will find it at the base of the elbow.
