Hello...new member here! I am looking for the aluminum links for the rear end that have a heim joint at each end. My father has them on his race car and I don't know who made them. Any ideas?

 

Possibly SDJ Motorsports, G-Force, or maybe Mazda Trix or Tri Point for pre-mades.
Also to do it on the cheap, why not have them made. Chassis Engineering, IIRC, located in Daytona, FL. They mainly do drag stuff but sell all of the tubing for cages, supports, all different sizes, types, (DOM, drawn over mandrel smooth wall, Chromoly, etc.). They will make whatever you need, weld it all up, everything, the are very accomodating. For the links, you will need thick wall tubing, probably 1" or 1 1/2" OD, shank adapters that weld in, and two spherical bearings. measure the length give them a call, and they will take care of you.
I got them to make me a panhard bar. to have it arrive at my door ready to drop on the car, after adjusting the length of the rod ends of course, was only ~$50.00.

The watts link parts could be made with high quality Aurora spherical bearings for probably 50-75 bucks. Though, I am a strong proponnent of panhard. helps eliminate binding and also allows you to adjust the rear roll center, where using the stock watts link, you are stuck at the current roll center, which is too high as it is. Also, to really help eliminate rear end binding, need to get rid of the upper links and put a torque arm in. This is a lot noisier, but a lot more precise. plus if you are looking at rod end lower links, probably not worried about streetability, to a point, as much anyway.

Wow, thanks for all the info guys! I just got back from Lime Rock last night...what a great day! Ran an 18 lap sprint race and a 1 hour enduro. I am tired today! The car ran perfectly. My father wrecked the front of his 83 RX-7 race car, so I borrowed his panhard bar and lower links. What an amazing difference in the handling! I was told by a fellow RX-7 racer that a company called "Coleman" something or other can make the links. Anyone heard of them? I have done a search online but couldn't come up with anything.

Travis - I will DEFINITELY call the Chassis Engineering company. If they can duplicate the panhard bar from my father's car for around $50.00, I'll put their name all over my race car!
