Probe Turbo fit into RX-7 ??
Probe Turbo fit into RX-7 ??
I have a 89 Probe GT Turbo with the 2.2L engine and the turbo work good! The body was junk! I want to buy a 87 RX-7 non turbo ... does the turbo fit ??? That a mazda motor in probe ...
Probalby not, cause the Rx7 is rotary. Plus the NA rx7 driveline will not support the power that the turbo driveline will support. Plus that probe turbo is probalby a little T3... which may be smaller than even a stock TII turbo. The NA motors are higher compression than you would ideally want for turbo.........
You would need a turbo computer since the NA one can't deal with positive manifold pressure....
If you want a turbo Rx7, buy a TII... unless you have tons of time and access to a turbo car anyway for parts (rear end, half shafts, transmission, etc, etc, etc) you don't want to mess with putting a turbo on the NA motor.
